From what I've read on various sites over the last few weeks it looks as though it'll be relatively dry with maybe the odd shower. Certainly enough chance of rain to consider taking wellies (just in case), but it's not likely to be a total mud bath. I'm sure the sun will make an apperance but I doubt it'll be what we'd class as "sunny".

its the rain this week that may cause the field to becoming a bog. But there won't be any rain on the weekend, fingers crossed that the ground dries up!

It's going to be a bog so bring a dinghy. But not too nice a dinghy because of the scallies.

It will be a bit rough where the vehicles setting up the site have been running but they may have had temporary roads down which will have helped. The site is on a hill which will help with drainage and the ground is pretty soild and at a high level so I reckon it won't be too bad.

The problem is that the official Met Office forecast is for it to be good on friday but the rain to return on Saturday, albeit in the form of light showers/drizzle. Not going to let it bother me but need to be prepared!!

There will be mud however dry it is. Last year it was bone dry on the day (and from what I remember relatively dry leading up to it) but the grass inside the tents was totally churned up by 3/4 am and the ground was very sticky in places. That's just what 40 odd thousand people dancing and walking around on it will do. People expecting their white trainers to be spotless by the end of the first night are in for a nasty shock - even if it doesn't rain at all. But, as I say, I can't see there being enough rain (touch wood) to turn the site into a mud bath.

But as Delboy says, nothing we can do about it though. Best to just come prepared.

According to metcheck, it is bone dry on the saturday and the sunday, and i also checked out the forecast for runcorn on the friday, and that was bone dry too. Theres a couple of mm on the thursday.

Im optimistic it wont be a mud bath. It may be slightly muddy, especially with all the vehicles cutting it up in this week in preparation, but nothing worth worrying about i reckon. I'll still bring my wellies just in case, but hopefully i wont need em.

it has pissed down though for weeks really...so sunshine or not..i recon wellies are a must, as the ground may still be water logged?
