Which network you with? I had a problem with Vodafone in 06 but my Orange phone last year was fine. It'll be down to the coverage of your network and I doubt there's anything Cream can do about it.. It also can be a problem if everyone is using their phones at the same time I think.

i've always been with o2, but i didn't meet a single person whose mobile was working in 06, no matter which network they were with - can't they put up temporary masts or something (??)

so shouldn't they make more of an effort as everybody will be trying to ring their pals for meet ups?

it's all down to ur network it's up to them to put the masses up. the ppl at creamfields wont have a say in it. it would be a waste of time and waste of money to put them up for two days if no one has signal so be it.

arrange a meeting place if anyone gets lost

As I said, it depends on your network. I don't actually think there's much that Cream can do if the networks don't have decent coverage there. Networks work off different masts so they can't exactly put up temporary masts for all the networks.

Well i never claimed to be an expert regarding bleedein phone masts, i'll just have to keep my fingers crossed! Saying "i'll meet you at the entrance of the cream tent" might work in theory, but in reality when you're wrecked and don't even know who you are might not work! :)

It'd help to know which phones worked last year and which did not. So far, it seems Orange works, Vodafone & O2 didn't.

If you were there last year please post your network and whether or not your mobile worked.
